Protect The Blue Spaces
It is very important for people with disabilities to have reserved parking spaces. Handicapped vehicle parking spaces allow people to get in and out of their vehicle easier, it ensures safety, and increases the likelihood people with disabilities will get out more. When others park illegally in those spaces all of those benefits go by the wayside. A mobile app was created that allows users to report drivers that illegally park in handicap designated spaces. Parking Mobility, the founders of this app believe that 1 in 4 cars that use a handicap parking space, shouldn’t. When the driver of the illegally parked vehicle gets fined, 20% of the fine goes toward charity.
When using this app, all you have to do is take three pictures of the vehicle;
- The make, model, and license plate.
- Vehicle parked in the handicap spot
- Front windshield proving there’s not a handicap tag
After you complete these steps simply upload the photos to Parking Mobility’s website (parkingmobility.com) using the app. Parking Mobility will then take it from there.
Whether you’re new to this or you’ve been practicing for a while, we’re willing to give you the benefit of our 100 combined years of experience helping handicap and disabled folks the independence they deserve.
